Who I am
I hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science and work as a full-time freelance developer based in the Czech Republic — CET timezone, an hour ahead of London, six ahead of New York. I communicate clearly in English, and invoicing within the EU is straightforward.
I started with WordPress and WooCommerce, building custom themes and plugins — and it’s still the right answer for most business websites and stores. Over time I added larger builds: Laravel and React applications for insurance, logistics and invoicing, including accounting, banking and AI document-processing integrations.
That range means honest advice: I know when WordPress is enough for the job — and when it’s fair to tell you that you need something more.
Why an independent developer
- You pay for development, not overhead. Agency invoices cover offices, sales teams and project managers. Mine cover the work.
- One person, fully accountable. Design, code, deployment and support in one pair of hands — someone who knows your project in detail.
- Senior work at Central European rates. Based in the Czech Republic, I offer experienced development at rates well below Western European agencies.
How I work
Straight answers
If a simple WordPress site serves you better than a custom build costing ten times more, I’ll say so. Long-term collaboration is worth more to me than a bigger invoice.
Code built to last
Tests, version control, documentation. Everything is handed over so any developer could take it on — though clients haven’t needed that yet.
Continuous communication
You see work in progress on a staging URL and always know where things stand. No weeks of silence ending in a “big reveal” that missed the mark.
Predictable budgets
A fixed price or a transparent per-stage estimate before work starts. Extra work only by agreement — never as a surprise on the invoice.
